課程概述 |
1. 本課程適合未學過華語者(或學習華語時數每週未達 6 小時，且總時數未達 100 小時者)選修，使用的教材為《實用視聽華語一》（第一課~第六課），盼學生能兼顧「聽說讀寫」四方面的語言能力，使學生生活不因語言不通而有障礙，並期望學生能透過課程進一步了解華語及台灣文化。
This course uses the textbook “Practical Audio-Visual Chinese I” (Chapter 1~6) to help students develop proficient language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing that would enable them to communicate effectively in their daily lives. Through the course, students will further understand Taiwanese culture and Chinese language.
2. 本課程授課語言以中文為主，英文為輔。
The language of this course is mainly Chinese, English is used as a supplemented language.

課程目標 |
1. 學會使用漢語拼音。
Learn to use Hanyu Pinyin.
2. 學會漢字的結構、筆順及寫法。
Understand the structure, stroke orders and writing method of Chinese characters.
3. 了解華語基本句型及語序、架構。
Understand basic Chinese sentence structure and word order.
4. 學會如何得體使用華語認識他人及介紹自我。
Capable of self-introduction and carrying on a basic conversation.

課程要求 |
1. 準時上課，不要遲到早退。遲到二十分鐘，視同缺課。
Attend the class on time, and don’t be late for class or leave earlier than scheduled. The student is considered absent if he/she is 20 minutes late for the class.
2. 實體課學生，每次上課都要簽到，每次座位固定。線上課：每次上課都要開鏡頭。
For classes in person, sign your name when attend the class. Due to COVID restrictions, you should remain the same seating arrangement for the whole semester. For online classes, turn on your camera in the meeting.
3. 上課時不說英文或其他非中文語言。
Use Chinese exclusively in class. Other languages are not allowed.
4. 上課時不應該做如：寫功課、聊天、睡覺等與課程進行無關的事。需參與課堂活動，聽老師及同學的發言和討論。
Should not write homework or do other things that are not related to the course. It’s essential to participate in the classroom activity and class discussion.
5. 上課時不能使用手機、電腦等電子產品。
No cell phone, laptop, Ipad and any electronic devices are allowed in class. （Electronic dictionary is permitted.）
6. 上課時可以喝水、喝飲料，但不能吃東西、抽菸、喝酒。
No food, no alcohol, no smoking in class, but drinking water or soft drinks is allowed.
7. 按時繳交作業。遲交的作業不收。線上課程學生應上傳PDF檔到NTU COOL.
Hand in assignments on time. Late submission will not be accepted. For online students, upload PDF files to NTU COOL.
8. 如果無故曠課，不能補考。期中考與期末考僅病假者能延後考試，但須附上醫生證明。若因個人因素需要提早考試，最晚於一個月前告知老師，成績將以九成計算，滿分最高只有90分。
No make-up exams will be provided without proper reasons. Make-up exams for mid-term and final will only be arranged if a doctor certificate is attached. If you need to take the exam earlier because you need to return to your country, please give one month advanced notice to the instructor. The highest score for make-up exams is 90.
9. 違反以上規定皆會影響學期成績。違反一次規定就扣平時表現成績一分。
You will lose one point of scores of Attendance and Performance each time for violation of class regulations.
10. 如果需要請假，請至少兩天前告知講師。
If students need to take a day off, please tell the instructor at least two days before by e-mail. Except for sick leaves.

1. From the 7th hour, you will be deducted 0.25 points for per hour. 2. If you are late over 25 minutes, the hour would be considered as absent. Please write an e-mail to inform the instructor if you need to take a day off. 3. If students leave NTU before the term finished, the hours of absence also be calculated as rule 1.
